About the Founder
John Rozance began teaching professionally at 22 years old in the subject of mathematics, credentialed in California & Nevada. After completing his bachelor’s degree in political science @ West Chester University in West Chester, PA. John enrolled in law school @ University of Delaware. After completing 1 year of law school, it was clear John wanted to have a direct impact on youth. At the time, John relocated back to California & started his teaching career with Sacramento County Juvenile Probation, teaching mathematics to juveniles in the program. While teaching, John opened his first tutoring business in Sacramento, California. A-1 tutoring became Sacramento counties premier tutoring business focusing on high school students needing tutoring from Algebra to Calculus. As John’s love for teaching & inspiring students grew, he gained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mathematics from Chadron State University, a Master’s Degree in Special education From National University & a Masters of Education degree in Mathematics from Northern Arizona State University.
After 20 years of teaching countless students of all ages and grades (children and adults), in groups and one-on-one, and in the areas of test preparation, academic support, and special needs in California, John saw an opportunity to bring his passion for mathematics to the Las Vegas valley. As an AP mathematics teacher with Clark County School District John specializes in increasing the districts learning objectives & targets.
Throughout John’s teaching career, he has tutored He has expertise with preparing students for various exams, such as the AP, SAT, ACT, PSAT, SSAT, GED, GRE etc. Although he loves teaching math the most, John has also coached basketball, enjoys theater & poker statistics & strategy.
About the Founder
From an early age, I knew I wanted to teach. I developed a love for mathematics that grew as I realized how many students struggle with the subject and need extra guidance. Teaching came naturally to me, and since the age of 22, I’ve been working both in the classroom and as a tutor, helping students understand and succeed in math. With over 20 years of experience in education, I’ve been fortunate to receive recognition, including being named Teacher of the Year. I hold a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, a master’s in mathematics education, a bachelor’s in political science, and a master’s in special education. These diverse academic backgrounds have given me the tools to address a wide range of student needs, from those struggling with basic concepts to those ready for more advanced challenges. My goal is to make math accessible, engaging, and less intimidating for every student I work with. At Math 4 You Tutoring, I’m driven by a passion to help students not only succeed academically but also build the confidence to approach math with a positive mindset. I look forward to continuing this work and helping more students reach their full potential in mathematics.
